Select yourself for the gravel world championships in Nice
First of all, April is a perfect time in the Alpes Maritimes for cycling.
Then the weather conditions are favorable and ideal for discovering the region and tempting to be selected for the gravel world championships in Nice.
It must be said that the Monaco Gravel Race is ideally placed in the calendar in order to participate in a UCI race which will allow you to:
- try to win your selection.
- discover the region’s slopes with a view to the World Championships in October 2025.
- choosing the right equipment for the World Championships.
- continue your stay with a training course and reconnaissance of the future World Championship route.
The course
We have experienced much more technical courses than the Monaco Gravel Race. We understand that the elevation can be scary for some people, but our courses do not have any traps.
In addition, the key points lie in the choice of equipment and its development in order to overcome bumps without problems.
To start you will leave from Peille – Grimaldi de Monaco, a village perched at an altitude of 650m in the Alpes Maritimes. The departure will be given from the Col Saint Pancrace.
Then you will enter the gates of one of the most beautiful parks in France, the Mercantour Park, from the Col des Banquettes.
From here, it's the start of your 52km tour that begins and it's the ascent of the Col de Braus made by the riders of the Tour de France 2024 that awaits you. But you have this chance to do it by the gravel tracks.
Come and discover our two 120 km route for 2400 D+ and 83 km for 1800 D+ which are among the most beautiful panoramas of the 2025 World Gravel Series circuit.
