The Monaco Gravel Race UCI courses do not have any traps, all parts are rolling. You will not push your bike. No single tracks are taken in order to emphasize safety and remain in the logic of practicing Gravel.
A development adapted to the mountain and tires ideally in 45mm are recommended to facilitate passages in certain sectors more stony than others.
To begin with,You will depart from Peille – Grimaldi de Monaco, a village perched at 650m altitude in the Alpes Maritimes. The starting point will be near the village of Peille.
Then you will enter the gates of Mercantour from the Col des Banquettes.
From here, it's the start of your 52km tour that begins and it's the ascent of the Col de Braus made by the riders of the Tour de France 2024 that awaits you. But you have this chance to do it by the gravel tracks.
The first will take you to the Col des Boeufs. We hope they will be there to encourage you. You will then switch to a descent to enjoy the extraordinary views of the Mercantour mountains.
The second part of the climb involves ascending through the forest to reach the Farghet plateau. This will be the moment to pick up the pace and head towards the Col de Braus.
The second part of the 52km tour will consist of multiple descents on asphalt or on tracks. The end of the first tour will take you through the famous Col du Castillon.
Then you will pass close to the highest hilltop village on the Mediterranean coast: the extraordinary village of Saint Agnès.
You will arrive at your personal refreshment point and/or one set up by the organization before setting off again for the second loop.
Finally you will be able to return to Peille – Grimaldi from Monaco to reach the finish.
